LDOE announces spring 2021 LEAP test dates

The Louisiana Department of Education has set the 2021 LEAP accountability testing schedule for students across the state.

The program includes the LEAP 2025 tests for ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies for students in grades 3-8. The tests also include LEAP 2025 tests for high school and junior high students taking Algebra I, Biology, English I, English II, Geometry, and US History.

Students in 4th -12th grades will be required to take the test online. Students in 3rd grade will take the pencil-based test.

The accountability program also includes the ACT/WorkKeys for high school students. The ACT test was administered on March 9, and the WorkKeys test is administered by CTE instructors throughout the school year through the end of April.

“Beauregard Parish schools will follow the testing dates and guidelines set up by the State Department of Education and the Board of Elementary and Secondary Education,” said Supervisor Larry Hollie.

“At this point, the LDOE, BESE, and the Louisiana Legislature have not made final decisions on how the test scores will or will not be used for student, school, or district performance measures,” he concluded.
