Please remember, the Director of Personnel and principals must be extremely aggressive when filling available positions and interviews are conducted continually in anticipation of future openings. Principals are fully aware of their school needs and maintain a list of these prospective applicants to consider for future positions. SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS BEAUREGARD PARISH SCHOOL BOARD
The Beauregard Parish School Board is seeking an exceptional leader to serve as its Superintendent of Schools. Located in Southwest Louisiana, near the Texas border, the BPSB serves 5,700 students in 12 schools and 2 programs with 870 employees and has an annual operating budget of approximately $91,000,000.
Qualifications: The applicant for Superintendent must hold a valid Type A or Level 3 Louisiana teaching certificate, with endorsement as city or parish School Superintendent and/or appropriate Educational Leadership endorsement at the time of his/her appointment to the position of School Superintendent as stated in SDE Bulletin 746 or be eligible for immediate certification to serve as Superintendent of Schools. School Nurse / 9.5 month Current, valid Louisiana RN license, minimum of two (2) years experience and CPR healthcare provider certification are required. Must be eligible for issuance of Louisiana Ancillary Certificate (Teacher Certification / State of Louisiana). Deadline for accepting applications is Thursday, February 9, 2023 at 4:00 PM. |
(2) Maintenance III (HVAC Experience Preferred) / 12 month High school diploma or equivalent. Maintain a valid Louisiana driver’s license. Have a knowledge of driving laws, interpreting traffic signals and signs. Operate manual transmission. Maintain a valid A/C heating license or a plumber’s license, or a valid license for electrical work. Have three years of experience in these three areas preferable.
