Please remember, the Director of Personnel and principals must be extremely aggressive when filling available positions and interviews are conducted continually in anticipation of future openings. Principals are fully aware of their school needs and maintain a list of these prospective applicants to consider for future positions. Keeping this in mind, individuals interested in transfers are encouraged to visit with principals prior to the availability of any position.

Teacher’s Aide to Hearing Impaired / 9 month Possess a high school diploma or its equivalent; AND pass a State approved assessment for paraprofessionals; OR obtain an approved Associate Degree (or higher) from an institution of higher education; OR complete two years of full time study of approved courses from an institution of higher learning. Ability to work with students and adults. Ability to adapt to various working environments. Must be able to communicate successfully and pleasantly, both orally and in writing. Must be able to communicate within an instructional environment via an enhanced visual and/or tactile mode between deaf/hard-of-hearing individuals in situation in which those individuals are unable to communicate with one another using a speech and hearing mode. Must be able to plan and implement activities that support the teacher’s efforts. Applications accepted until position filled. |
