BPSB High School Students Attend AWS Summer Welding Class

Ten Beauregard Parish high school students earned the opportunity to participate in the AWS Summer Welding class. Students submitted resumes and applications before being selected for the program. Classes are being held at Singer High School during the month of June. Upon completing the class, students will take a test administered by the AWS testing center, and after passing the test, will receive a Carnegie Credit and AWS credentials. The summer welding program has been offered for the past eight summers for eligible high school students. In addition, an AWS welding class has been offered to students through night courses during the regular school year for the past ten years.
