Positive Behavior Interventions Support

Our teachers and students are excited about our new Positive Behavior Interventions Support. Students recite our school expectations daily during morning announcements. Our laws are listed on our classroom, hallway, bathroom, and cafeteria walls as reminders to our students. Each class shines weekly with a student who has exhibited Knightly Behavior. This student receives a Knight of the Week bracelet and certificate. His or her name is published on the school video system in our hallways. Schoolwide rewards have included shopping days, movie days, and Pep Rallys. Thank you parents for encouraging your child to do his or her best and exhibit Knightly Behavior by making the right choices.

Please Note:
School-Wide Positive Behavior Interventions Support (PBIS) is a state mandated data driven system that addresses student behavior and discipline in our schools. Expectations have been developed by placing an emphasis on a school-wide system of support including proactive strategies for defining appropriate behaviors to create a positive school environment. Expectations of positive behavior for all students within a school are introduced, modeled, and taught in areas including the classroom and non classroom settings (such as hallways, bathrooms, playgrounds, and the cafeteria). Students are rewarded for following these expectations(such as Knight bucks and Knight of the Week). Interventions are enforced when these expectations are not followed. These include consequences and reteaching of the expectations.
